It’s safe to say that winter if upon us! We officially had our first snow last week. Randomly enough, so did many many other states who normally do not get snow (Seriously, Texas?!). Seems like we may all be in need of this new winter recipe: Snowflake Smoothie Bowl!
Just because it’s winter does not mean we no longer drink our delicious smoothies or eat banana ice cream. Trust me, I’ve tried the oatmeal for breakfast and while it really is satisfying, nothing can replace a smoothie!
This smoothie bowl can be used as a meal replacement, breakfast, or snack! It contains healthy probiotics from coconut yogurt and healthy fat from coconut! And of course fiber-rich, natural carbohydrates!
I think I really love making this smoothie bowl in the winter because it really does come out whiter than regular banana ice cream. Also, the added coconut flakes make it look like actual snow!

Recipe: Snowflake Smoothie Bowl
This smoothie bowl serves as a great breakfast, snack, or even meal replacement! White and fluffy, it will remind you of beautiful snow! Perfect for winter!
- 2-4 frozen bananas
- 1 large scoop plain coconut yogurt
- 1 small scoop shredded unsweetened coconut flakes *Plus extra for topping
Add all ingredients into a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
Transfer to a bowl and top with shredded coconut!
Other topping suggestions:
- pomegranate seeds
- white chocolate chips
- Whatever you like!
